Strength in Unity: The Filipino Legacy

When you hear the word resilient, what comes to your mind? Are you a resilient person? Resilient means you are being strong even after the difficult challenges that comes to your life. When you are resilient, you recover quickly from the challenges that you faced. It also involves the ability to function through pain, lost, and suffering.

We have been colonized by three colonizers, yet, we were still be able to assert our sovereignty eventually. Our country are often describe as a resilient country. We faced many calamities in the past however our country remains strong and brave specially when there are calamities and disaster. An example is a super typhoon Haiyan, which was the strongest typhoon ever recorded in the history. Yet we, Filipinos, were able to persist and stand up again. We, the Filipinos are the one that makes our country firm and stable. We are the reason why our country is a resilient country. It is because of our strength and by supporting each other.

I am proud to be a Filipino. I was born and raised here. All of my core memories are made in this archipelago. I am proud of our beautiful islands, our rich history and our talents. We are the Pearl of the Orient Seas.

We, the Filipinos are known for our hospitality, cheerfulness and especially for being resilient in times of crisis. Our reselience may be rooted from our strong family connections and historical and political struggles. For us to remain resilient, we need to realize that we could use the "bayanihan" spirit to carry our nation towards a better future.
